The Federal Government and Australian citizens can now see eye to eye that the virus is not going away anytime soon.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison had earlier announced that Australian borders would remain close for international travel. So, what can Australians look forward to in these circumstances?

The light could only seep through the travel bubble established between Australia and New Zealand for international tourism. However, that has also surpassed, as New Zealand suspended the travel corridor for eight weeks due to rising COVID-19 cases in Sydney, Victoria, and South Australia.

Despite Australia’s commendable performance in the first wave, the country could not fully secure itself from the Delta variant of coronavirus. Subsequently, Australia’s tourism, hospitality, and aviation industry remain in a standstill.

Nevertheless, the world is no more living in the 80s when the alternatives were limited. Society has now ventured into new pathways of exploring, and so has the tourism industry. With AR and VR travel, and other high-tech tourism capacities, Australia is also proud of its staycation facilities.

Staycation – let’s spill the beans!

COVID-19 might continue throwing a wrench in the works, but Australians need not worry. The tourism industry understands that these times are challenging, and it is working on its toes, targeting low-hanging fruits.

The tourism industry offers an excellent solution that shoots two birds with one stone: “staycation”. These times are risky and unprecedented, and amid this, Australians want to travel differently. A travel experience, which is safe and fun at the same time. And staycation is the solution. A responsible, safe, and adventurous experience: staycation brings hope for civilians.

For staycations, one doesn’t need to travel to distant places. Additionally, with a staycation, one gets the time out of being surrounded by the house’s four walls. And also, it’s relatively safer in coronavirus times.
