Emirates Fleet at DXB.Emirates, a leader in global aviation, is setting new benchmarks for air travel luxury. The airline has announced a dramatic expansion of its retrofit program, unveiling plans to fully refurbish an additional 71 aircraft, including 43 A380s and 28 Boeing 777s. This bold move brings the total number of retrofitted planes to 191, ensuring customers experience unparalleled luxury on Emirates’ flagship aircraft models.

The original plan, calling for the refurbishment of 120 aircraft, has been elevated to an ambitious 191. This demonstrates the airline’s unwavering commitment to excellence, with Emirates President Sir Tim Clark emphasizing, “We’re topping up our multi-billion dollar investment in the retrofit programme to introduce cutting-edge cabin products on more of our A380s and Boeing 777s, demonstrating a clear commitment to elevating the customer experience with a best-in-class suite of products across every cabin.”

Each refurbished aircraft will boast Emirates’ new-generation Premium Economy seats, luxurious First Class suites, and advanced Business Class seats, all complemented by a contemporary colour palette and sophisticated cabin finishings. The Boeing 777s will be upgraded to feature a new 1-2-1 Business Class seating configuration, ensuring privacy and convenience. Additionally, 24 Premium Economy seats will be installed, offering more premium options for discerning travellers.

Inside the A380s, passengers will experience a continuation of the best-in-class service they have come to expect. Emirates’ in-house engineering team will carry out this comprehensive upgrade, supported by 31 major partners and suppliers working on and offsite. The fleet will soon be equipped with 8,104 Premium Economy seats, 1,894 refreshed First Class suites, 11,182 upgraded Business Class seats, and 21,814 Economy Class seats.

Once these retrofits are complete, Emirates will be positioned to offer unmatched travel experiences across its global network. Already serving prominent destinations like New York, London, Sydney, Mumbai, and Dubai with Premium Economy cabins, the airline plans to extend this service to 42 cities by February 2025. The entry of the A350 into Emirates’ fleet this September, alongside the newly refurbished Boeing 777s, will further cement Emirates as the epitome of sophisticated air travel.

For travellers seeking a superior experience that blends elegance, comfort, and cutting-edge design, the new Emirates fleet promises an unforgettable journey. With this retrofit program, Emirates is not just updating its aircraft—it is redefining the future of air travel.
