Spread the love

Pulling up a seat at the bar and sipping on a cold beer at the end of a big day of exploring is all part of the Aussie Outback experience. And this year, travellers on APT’s Kimberley Wilderness Adventures will be able to kick back with some of the very best local brews as part of a new partnership with Spinifex Brewing Company.

The partnership will see the brewery’s unique bush flavour infusion range being served at APT’s exclusive network of Wilderness Lodges in the Kimberley at Bell Gorge, the Bungle Bungle Range and Mitchell Falls.

With every aspect of their operation in the Kimberley, APT strives to respect the region’s environment and culture to ensure its protection for future generations. This involves connecting with likeminded business such as Spinifex Brewing Company, an Aboriginal and Veteran-owned company with a focus on giving back to the region.

The brewing company works closely with Aboriginal native food producers in the region to source ingredients for their unique range of beer, which is infused with native Australian bush ingredients such as wattle seed and lemon myrtle. Through the development of the Spinifex supply chain, the company is able to deliver economic benefit and employment opportunities to local Aboriginal communities. Not only that, 50 per cent of profits from the Spinifex F88 range of beer goes to supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of returned service men and women.

It’s this shared love of the Australian Outback and a common goal to support its traditional land owners makes for a successful partnership between the two companies said APT’s General Manager Product, Mladen Vukic.

“While people often come to the Kimberley for the landscapes, APT has always celebrated the history and incredible people who are making a real difference to the region. We really admire Spinifex’s mission and the way in which they are ensuring there are opportunities for local Aboriginal communities. It’s an initiative we want to see thrive and we look forward to sharing their amazing work, and beer, with our guests,” said Vukic.

Spinifex Brewing Company’s Chief Executive Officer Adam Barnard reiterated, “We’re really proud to be the only company in Australia making beer from local and traditional produce and can’t wait for APT’s guests to taste the unique flavours of the region and Australia.”

“Joining forces with APT means we can continue to support local Aboriginal-owned food producers as well as the wellbeing of returned service men and women, while also raising our profile so that we reach a broader market,” said Barnard.

Spinifex’s brews can be found at APT’s network of three wilderness lodges located in Mitchell Falls, Bell Gorge and Bungle Bungle. The lodges are strategically positioned to maximise experiences, so guests spend less time driving the vast land and more time exploring.
