Spread the love

So you find yourself at the beautiful and tranquil Santa Cruz. You are getting ready to enjoy a day of surfing when it suddenly pours and all your plans can no longer happen. But don

Enjoy your very own beach villa – Before you brave the rains and see what the city has to offer, why not take the time to relax at your rented villa? Enjoy the sunset from your patio or balcony. Cozy up at the living room and read that book you have been itching to finish, or bring out the board games and have fun with the rest of the family. Check out some of the properties at https://www.surfcity-rentals.com/ for some great choices. They have beachfront properties and even pet-friendly villas in case you want to bring them with you.

Go Shopping – What’s a vacation without shopping? Santa Cruz has so much to offer, from malls to small artisan shops that sell one of a kind wares. There are so many things to choose from. You can buy high-end fashion clothes for your next vacation, or even some vintage ones if that is what you like more. If you love jewelry and art, they have a lot of local artists that sell their own creations. You’ll find some great souvenirs which you can give to your friends or even just keep for yourself to remember the trip by.

Visit the Surfing Museum – You may not be able to enjoy the world-class waves while it’s raining. But that does not mean that you cannot learn more about this sport. Upon your visit, you’ll be welcomed by photographs and facts regarding the history of surfing in the area. The history of surfing in Santa Cruz dates back to a hundred years ago so it would be interesting to see how it evolved since then. You can also buy some books and memorabilia to take back home with you.

Have fun with miniature golf – If you do not want to be cooped up inside, there are a lot of activities you can do. If you have kids, take a trip to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk for some indoor mini-golf. The pirate-themed course even has a black light cave to make things more fun. Aside from golf, you can also play some arcade and bowling.

Delight in the culinary delights of the city – Of course, you cannot leave this city without trying some of the famous restaurants. One must-visit place is Lillian’s Italian Kitchen, which is now open for sit down dining. One meal you should definitely order is their Black Truffle Gnocchi, which can come with your choice of either peso cream, tomato cream, or gorgonzola cream. You can easily add chicken, prawns, or even filet mignon to make it a full meal. End your meal with a delicious plate of their dessert. We would recommend the Affogato al Caffe, a combination of espresso and gelato, two of Italy’s best desserts.
