Club Med Musandam is the fruit of a robust partnership between Club Med, Royal Court Affairs, and Omran Group. This all-inclusive resort is poised to invigorate the local economy, creating over 400 direct jobs and an additional 800 indirect positions. During its construction phase, the project will employ around 1,000 workers, substantially boosting the job market in Oman, particularly in the Musandam Governorate.

His Excellency Mr Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi highlighted the strategic importance of this collaboration: “This partnership with Club Med aligns with Omran’s Vision 2040, aiming to attract 11 million tourists to Oman and bolster the influx of international visitors.”

Commitment to Sustainability

Club Med Musandam represents a significant investment exceeding $100 million, with funding from Omani debt and equity partners. The resort’s construction will begin in early 2026, with a grand opening slated for 2028. The project is dedicated to sustainability, with plans to eco-certify the construction using BREEAM standards, targeting a “very good” rating.

Once operational, Club Med Musandam will adhere to Green Globe standards, a renowned sustainable tourism certification. These standards promote sustainable management, economic and social contributions, cultural heritage preservation, and environmental protection. Club Med is committed to the “Bye Bye Plastics” initiative, aiming to eliminate single-use plastics and reduce food waste across all its resorts by 2030.

The Norway of Arabia

Situated on the Musandam Peninsula, known as the “Norway of Arabia” for its dramatic fjords and rugged coastline, the resort offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The Hajar Mountains provide a stunning backdrop, while the surrounding waters teem with marine life, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

Khasab, the central city of Musandam, is a gateway to this idyllic locale. The resort is just a five-minute boat ride from Khasab and a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Dubai International Airport, making it easily accessible for both local and international travelers.

Luxury Redefined

Club Med Musandam will feature 300 rooms in its Exclusive Collection, the most premium line in the Club Med portfolio. The resort will seamlessly blend Omani culture with luxury, offering refined, authentically luxurious experiences without ostentation. The interiors, entertainment, and culinary offerings will be inspired by the region’s unique climate and cultural heritage.

Families will find world-class kids’ clubs with certified staff catering to children of all ages, fostering curiosity, fun, and friendship. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy various land and water activities, from tennis and archery to scuba diving and kayaking. The resort’s G.Os (Gracious Organizers) will ensure guests can access professional guidance and training for all activities.

For those seeking relaxation, the resort will offer a holistic wellness experience with a spa, fitness centre, yoga school, and an adult-only Zen pool and bar. The resort centre will feature shopping, gourmet dining, and vibrant entertainment, including live music and artistic performances.
