Spread the love

The Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) has launched a new tourism campaign, encouraging Aussies who love the great outdoors and adventure to book a trip to the island nation and get off the beaten track whilst they are there.

The campaign, which falls under the destination’s wider brand positioning “Answer the Call of Vanuatu”, will help drive awareness of Vanuatu’s Outer Islands and showcase the nation’s regional destinations, as well as the distinct range of nature and adventure experiences available in these locations, including bushwalking, wildlife spotting, world-class scuba diving and a variety of cultural events.

At the heart of the new campaign is an annual content partnership with leading adventure enthusiasts We Are Explorers, who went on a 17-day discovery around Vanuatu’s Outer Islands, including Malekula, Gaua, Maewo, Pentecost and Ambrym. The bespoke content created during the trip will be pushed out throughout 2020 via video and social media promotions and included in destination guides.

“Encouraging visitors to travel beyond Efate is a key goal of our 2030 Market Development Plan and this campaign showcases all the wonderful, life-changing Vanuatu moments waiting for people who are willing to get off the beaten track,” said Ms Adela Issachar Aru, CEO of the Vanuatu Tourism Office. “It also shows our commitment to keeping the local Ni-Vanuatu people happy, our environment clean and our culture alive – sustainable and responsible tourism is at our core.”
