Wild Bush Luxury, the Australian tourism company specialising in immersive nature experiences, is set to open new accommodation – Jabiru Retreat – at Bamurru Plains safari lodge located on the spectacular Mary River wetlands in the Top End of the Northern Territory.

Opening 1 April, Jabiru Retreat will offer a more private ‘camp within a camp’ experience featuring two safari-style bungalows connected by a walkway leading to a private plunge pool and shaded deck directly overlooking the floodplains.

Jabiru Retreat will accommodate four to six guests in total – either two couples travelling together, a family with older children, multi-generational families or small groups of friends needing their own exclusive space. Each bungalow offers king-split beds with the option of swag bedding for children.

The Retreat will complement the existing accommodation at Bamurru Plains which includes ten stylish eco-cabins and one larger Kingfisher Suite overlooking the flood plains frequented by myriad bird and animal life.

Providing a second layer of luxury for discerning clients, Jabiru Retreat will offer complete privacy but with all the signature Wild Bush Luxury services, including fully catered dining and daily wilderness safari experiences – such as airboat safaris, open-top safari drives, crocodile-spotting river cruises, guided walks and more.

Prices for Jabiru Retreat are based on four people and start from $6,160 a night from 1 April to 30 June and 1 September to 31 October, and from $6,800 a night in the peak months of July and August.

The price includes accommodation, a fully catered experience including daily private poolside lunch, hosted lodge dinner, all beverages including wines and spirts, along with twice-daily shared safari experiences.
