There are hopes of international travel to resume soon. Fortunately, Australia has vaccinated 70% of its 16 and above population. According to the tourism minister’s prior statement, Australia will reopen its borders for international tourism as soon as it hits the mark of 80% fully vaccinated citizens.
As the country plans on resuming international travel, it is very much expected that Aussies must already be counting days to hit the plane to travel and explore. No doubt, Australians are famous for being adventurous, always on the hunt to explore and expand. However, the pandemic took away the most significant aspect of their leisure: travel. So, after a break of more than 18 months, Australians finally expect the country to let them travel and explore once again.

Adventure travel is on the top of the bucket list
After being homebound for the entire pandemic, the doors to international travel will finally be open as soon as Australia reaches its 80% vaccinated population mark. So, Aussies would soon plan for some cray adventure trips once again.
However, things might not be the same this year as the pandemic is still showing its catastrophic effects in various countries. Although, mass vaccination is a significant relief. Thus, here are four countries that Australians can visit for adventure tourism once Australia’s international borders reopen.

  • Argentina: Aussies who desperately want to do some adventure travel should plan their next trip to Argentina. It’s a nation accustomed to dynamic landscapes, seen nowhere else. The country offers a vast range of snow-topped mountain peaks, turquoise lakes, wild tundra, treeless plains, and sprawling ice fields.   • Costa Rica: Costa Rica is a small place with a quarter of its land area is protected forests. From hot air ballooning to zip lining, the place offers the best of adventure activities. Looking in every new direction in Costa Rica would lend travellers in the lap of new adventurous activities.
  • New Zealand: Australia and New Zealand share a unique bond. And so is the bond between the adventure that New Zealand offers to travel lover Aussies. The country offers a vast range of activities and sceneries to enjoy for travellers. From caving in Waitomo to rafting rivers on the North Island, New Zealand showers adventure to the citizens and foreign travellers.
  • Portugal: The next destination in the list of adventure travel has to be Portugal. The country has a bucket of indoor and outdoor activities for adventure-seeking travellers. Also, the nine islands are counted as one of the world’s best spots for whale watching. Additionally, one can simply spend time on Portugal’s tallest mountain and enjoy volcanoes and crater lakes galore.
