Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy delivered the keynote address to a sold-out crowd at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo’s GM and Owners’ Breakfast, a gathering of the amusement industry’s top leaders. Duffy was joined by the line’s Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal who helped her give away three cruises to lucky members of the audience.
During the speech, she highlighted BOLT: The Ultimate Sea Coaster that will be the first ever roller coaster at sea when it debuts on Mardi Gras next year. She also discussed the intersection of the amusement and cruise industries and their similarities. Duffy focused on the strong connections Carnival crew members make with the nearly 6 million guests who sail on Carnival Cruise Line ships every year. Sustainability was also highlighted and she stressed Carnival’s unwavering commitment to environmental excellence.
