Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) will cover all corners of Australia in its 2020-21 season, with a range of new destinations announced today.http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/

In its second season, Vasco da Gama will make compelling domestic destinations even more accessible to Australians with the ship’s new ports of call including Darwin and Port Arthur, while a visit to Geelong will be a first for the cruise line. The ship will also return to unique cruising destinations such as Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia and Esperance in the South West, offering travellers a chance to experience parts of Australia that they may not have considered before.

“Since Cruise & Maritime Voyages arrived in the Australian market, we have seen a lot of interest in domestic cruising from travellers and agents alike,” says Darren Chigwidden, National Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

“We are really shining the light on domestic cruising in our new season, and our Adelaide-based Marketing and Reservations Team and our national on-the-road Sales Team are well equipped to assist our partners in highlighting our domestic destinations to their clients.

“Many of our agent partners have had great success developing affordable holiday packages for clients using our cruises to reach sought-after destinations, like Broome and the Kimberley, that were previously out of budget for many. And, with CMV’s generous commissions, this is also a great opportunity for agents to earn.”

Highlights in the new season include a 14-night trip along the North West coast of Australia from Fremantle to Singapore. This voyage will visit Geraldton, Broome, Darwin, Bali, and Java, allowing travellers to experience the wonders of the Kimberley and the much-loved marvels of Indonesia in one trip. Prices start from $1,799 per person twin share (Guest 1 from $3,599 with Guest 2 FREE).

Those wanting an immersive cultural journey can take a 15-night Singapore roundtrip voyage through Asia, exploring Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Prices start from $1,995 per person twin share (Guest 1 from $3,989 with Guest 2 FREE).

Back by popular demand is a 10-night roundtrip Christmas Cruise from Adelaide, visiting Geelong, Port Arthur, Hobart and Burnie. This cruise will visit the world-class food and wine regions of Tasmania as well as the beautiful coastline of the Great Ocean Road, and prices start from $1,485 per person twin share (Guest 1 from $2,969 with Guest 2 FREE).

In addition, Vasco da Gama will cruise from Sydney to Adelaide via Melbourne, allowing East Coast guests to enjoy the CMV experience from their doorstep. Prices for this cruise start from $535 per person twin share (Guest 1 from $1,069 with Guest 2 FREE).

“At CMV, we have a high number of repeat guests, so we want to ensure that we are providing them with new, diverse destinations and varied itineraries each season within Australia and also across Asia,” says Managing Director of CMV Australia, Dean Brazier.

“We offer short-break domestic cruises, local extended escapes and exotic cruises close to home. Our new itineraries allow our guests to immerse themselves in the wildlife and nature of the Northern Territory and Kimberley, delve into the rich colonial histories and breathtaking landscapes of Tasmania, or enjoy a day exploring the relaxed coastal towns of Victoria.

Vasco da Gama will homeport out of Adelaide and Fremantle, giving travellers the opportunity to explore some very distinctive destinations in SA and WA.

“Many travellers enjoy the opportunity to take a week or so off and explore new areas within Australia, while also experiencing the wonderful facilities on board our ships. Some of our voyages within Australia are just two nights long, so travellers may not even need to take a day off work in order to take a relaxing cruise to world-class destinations.

“No matter the length of the cruise, we’re proud to offer an intimate atmosphere on board all of our ships, which keeps our guests coming back.”

Feedback from guests recently on board Vasco da Gama for her Singapore to London maiden voyage has been extremely positive, with guests particuarly enjoying the luxurious facilities in the Jade Wellness Spa, the variety of cuisine onboard and the flexible open-seating dining arrangements.

Vasco da Gama also provides a great opportunity for guests to “go it alone” with 40 cabins for solo travellers, guest meet-ups and a ship full of like-minded guests and friendly staff.  Guests can get a taste of Vasco da Gama when she arrives in Australia for her first CMV season this December and enjoy her warm and personable atmosphere for themselves.
