A Visionary Investment in Fleet Expansion.

In a resounding display of confidence in the future, Emirates revealed a staggering $52 billion order for an additional 90 Boeing 777-9s, 777-8s, and 5 Boeing 787s. In addition, the airline confirmed an order for 15 Airbus A350-900s valued at $6 billion. This formidable commitment brings Emirates’ total order book to a remarkable 310 wide-body aircraft, with deliveries expected to continue until 2035.

Emirates unveiled its ambitious plans to construct a cutting-edge engineering facility at Dubai World Central (DWC), representing a $950 million investment. Spanning over 1 million square meters, this state-of-the-art complex will be the largest of its kind operated by any airline, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub. The facility is designed to support Emirates’ expanding aircraft fleet and operational needs well into the 2040s.

Strategic Partnerships to Elevate Customer Experience.

Recognizing the critical importance of its aviation value chain, Emirates forged significant agreements with Safran, a world-renowned aerospace supplier worth a combined $1.2 billion. These contracts will outfit Emirates’ new fleet of Airbus A350s, Boeing 777X-9s, and existing Boeing 777-300ERs with Safran’s latest-generation seats. Additionally, the agreements encompass exclusive services for cabin equipment, wheels, carbon brakes, landing gear component repairs, retrofitting, and MRO support.

To ensure the longevity of its iconic A380 fleet, Emirates committed over $1.5 billion to optimize the double-decker jet’s lifespan. Collaborating with industry experts in the aviation aftermarket and MRO services, the airline secured agreements for maintenance, repair, overhaul services, parts provisioning, component repairs, and technical support, ensuring the A380 meets Emirates’ rigorous standards well into the next decade.

Nurturing UAE’s Aviation Talent.

Emirates joined forces with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)’s commercial and training arm, the International Aviation Consulting and Training (IACT), through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to tailor bespoke training solutions. This partnership is poised to elevate the nation’s engineering talent pool and support future industry growth.

Pioneering Technological Advancements.

Emirates and Boeing entered into a MoU aimed at harnessing advanced digital technologies, including drone-assisted aircraft inspections, virtual and augmented reality for precision enhancements, and the development of prognostic and predictive maintenance, ushering in a new era of aviation innovation.

Enhanced Connectivity for Global Travelers.

Emirates and Condor activated a reciprocal interline agreement to expand passengers’ connectivity options. This collaboration grants customers access to 70 routes spanning Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia, and the Middle East, all under a single-ticket fare and streamlined baggage policy.

Unveiling MIRA: A Glimpse into the Future of Employee Training.

Emirates debuted MIRA, a groundbreaking training platform that utilizes extended reality (iXR) to train new employees. During his visit to the Emirates stands, this cutting-edge technology was showcased to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, marking a significant moment in aviation innovation.

Showcasing Excellence on the Ground and in the Sky.

Throughout the Dubai Air Show, Emirates captivated audiences with a spectacular opening flypast, static aircraft displays featuring its full range of aircraft, and an exhibition stand showcasing the latest in extended reality and AI immigration innovation. Emirates welcomed more than 43,500 visitors to its stand and aircraft throughout the event.
