Marriott International has partnered with the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS), to establish a four-year Hotel Degree Apprenticeship-style program.
The program will offer hospitality students from ICMS the opportunity to simultaneously embark on a successful career as an aspiring hotelier within the world’s biggest hotelier, Marriott International.
Every year, the program will provide a single spot to a qualified individual who has successfully obtained their High School Certificate. Their employment with Marriott International will commence in January the following year and studies in a Bachelor of Hospitality Management with ICMS will commence in February of that year.
Students enrolled in the Marriott International-ICMS Hotel Management Development Program will have the opportunity to combine their ICMS studies with a diversified learning experience including rotations across a different hotel each year, giving them experience across diverse brands and interstate travel opportunities. In the first two years of the program they will gain practical experience in various operations departments, progressing to assume team leader roles in the third year. They will also expand their career horizons through the award-winning Marriott “Voyage” leadership development program in their final year – offering hands-on hotel-based training in disciplines across Accounting & Finance, Culinary, Engineering, Event Management, Food & Beverage, Human Resources, Revenue Management, Rooms Operations and Sales.
Students will receive a competitive wage during their program and time off to attend their ICMS structured classes, ensuring a seamless integration of their studies while launching their careers. Upon completing their education at ICMS, students will have the opportunity to launch their hotel management careers as a Marriott International employee, in a management position within 6 months of graduation.

Applications for the Marriott International and ICMS Hotel Degree Apprenticeship-style program will open in June 2023 for the degree commencing in 2024.
