On Sunday, 25 September 2022, the starting signal will be given for the eleventh time for the largest running competition in Central Asia in the Kazakh metropolis of Almaty. Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s multiple award-winning carrier is offering participants attractive special fares. For bookings on the Air Astana website, the airline offers a 15 percent discount on all available international and domestic fares in Business Class and Economy Class. The only condition: The flight to Almaty must take place between 22 and 25 September 2022, and the return flight between 25 and 28 September 2022.
Highlight of the sport event is the route, which brings the participants of the Almaty Marathon 2022 to distinctive places in the country’s biggest city, such as the First President’s Park, the Financial District and the Central Stadium. In addition to the marathon, those interested in running can also register for the half marathon or the team race (6 participants per team) over the full marathon distance. Over ten kilometres, there is a running as well as a Nordic walking competition. The proceeds from the entry fees (starting from US$18 per person) will go to charity.
