Great Gardens of Cornwall in the Company of Mike Nelhams
With the help of Mike Nelhams, Curator of Tresco’s Abbey Garden and a long-standing Tour Manager for Brightwater Holidays, this itinerary for Cornwall has been put together that showcases not only the gardens but the personalities behind them. Visits include the Lost Gardens of Heligan, where guests are welcomed by Sir Tim Smit who discovered and restored the gardens; the Tregothnan Estate, where guests are greeted by the owner Lord Falmouth; and Caerhays Castle, at which Charles Williams – whose family has owned the castle since the mid-19th century – will welcome the group.

Sweden & Gotland – In the Footsteps of Carl Linnaeus
Botanist Carl Linnaeus is the inspiration behind this unique itinerary, which features visits to lakes and gardens in southern Sweden as well as wildflowers and stunning seascapes on the Baltic island of Gotland. Visits include Uppsala’s University Botanical Gardens, private gardens and botanising opportunities in the southern part of Gotland, and the Dream Park in Enköping – municipal gardens designed by Piet Oudolf and laid out in 1996.

Scenic Journeys of Argyll & Bute
This stunning rail tour includes views over Loch Long and Loch Lomind, the remote Glen Douglas, Glen Falloch and Glen Lochy, and the much-photographed ruins of Kilchurn Castle. Guests also enjoy two excursions, the first to the little island of Gigha where they explore the Achamore Gardens and the second to the isle of Bute, where they will visit one of the most extravagant stately homes in the British Isles – Mount Stuart. Guests will also discover Ardkinglas with its woodland gardens, experience a guided tour of Inveraray Castle and wander around the beautiful Arduaine Gardens.

Castles & Houses of the Cotswolds
Winding through the rural rolling hills and medieval village of the Cotswolds, guests visit the iconic Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle and Waddesdon Manor. They will also explore Chavenage House, which featured in the BBC’s Poldark series, with exclusive access to ‘The Poldark Bedroom’, and will pay visits to both Snowshill Manor and Hidcote Manor. Additionally, there will be a nostalgia-fuelled journey by steam train from Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway, and finally a private tour of Eythrope Gardens.

Castles & Houses of Kent

Southern Rhine Garden Cruise
Explore picturesque gardens, quaint medieval towns, beautiful castles and breathtaking scenery on this voyage along the Southern Rhine. From our base on the A-ROSA AQUA, we discover the 10-hectare arboretum and botanical gardens in Mainz, explore the stunning island garden of Mainau off the shores of Lake Constance and cruise through the Lorelei Valley and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lundy and the Scenic Journeys of the West Country
Settle down aboard the MS Oldenburg and watch the world go by while looking out for seabirds, basking sharks and seals. Guests have a few hours on Lundy, just enough time to visit the shop, look round the church and pub, or enjoy a scenic cliff walk. From here, guests travel across Somerset on the West Somerset Steam Railway – a 20-mile journey of nostalgia – and pay a visit to the Exmoor National Park. There will also be a chance to ride one of the last remaining horse-drawn barges in Great Britain, the “Tivertonian”.
