AERONOLOGY today announced Singapore Airlines as its latest NDC Direct Connect airline partner.

Aeronology was founded in 2019 by long-time travel industry executives Mr Russell Carstensen and Mr Ahmed Fakhra, and both are excited with the company’s continued growth and development of its NDC Direct Connect technology with the connection to Singapore Airlines’ comprehensive NDC inventory.

“Being an Australian-based and globally-focused travel technology start-up, Aeronology is very proud to welcome Singapore Airlines, an iconic global airline, as our latest full NDC Direct Connect partner,” said Mr Carstensen, Aeronology CEO. “Singapore Airlines is one of the most awarded and best international airlines in the world, with its base being Singapore Changi Airport. Changi Airport is continually voted as the world’s best airport and is key to Singapore’s global gateway success.

“Wherever you fly with Singapore Airlines, you’ll be flying in one of the most modern and fuel-efficient aircraft in the skies.

“The Singapore Airlines innovation and NDC teams are world-class, it has been an incredible journey over the past six months working with them to create Aeronology’s unique NDC services. Despite the impact of COVID, Aeronology was able to connect with the Singapore Airlines team to create what is a unique travel advisor user experience.”

A seamless NDC booking solution for the Travel Industry

Aeronology provides the NDC ability to Search, Shop, Book, Ticket, Rebook, Reissue, Revalidate, Void and Refund all NDC and GDS/NDC transactions on one screen.

Aeronology and Singapore Airlines NDC Direct Connect enables travel sellers to deliver innovative, enhanced service, offering richer content that is relevant to the customer’s journey for a more personalised and seamless experience.

NDC allows airlines to sell and showcase their products more effectively. With the technology available, a seat to Singapore and beyond should no longer be “just a seat”, Mr Carstensen explained. This is particularly true for full-service carriers like Singapore Airlines, with significant product differentiation and customer offers and providing this content to its travel industry partners.

Aeronology also plans to provide Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ Low Cost Carrier as part of the travel agents shopping application via the Aeronology portal.

“Aeronology will be presenting its NDC services to the travel industry over the remainder of 2021 via roadshows and online presentations,” said Mr Carstensen. “A key feature of our technology is that all transactions can be seamlessly downloaded to any API-connected Mid/Back Office.

“It’s going to be an amazing customer-focused future, and NDC will drive productivity, direct products and offers to customers not seen since 2008 when electronic tickets were established.”
