Today, APT’s first tour since March has come to a successful conclusion after nine beautiful days exploring Outback Queensland.
Notwithstanding borders restrictions, Australia’s leading tour and cruise operator, APT is celebrating the success of its recent Queensland tour – the first tour the company has been able to operate since travel was halted by COVID-19.
The much anticipated journey departed Brisbane on Sunday 6 September with 58 guests joining the 9-day air tour of Outback Queensland.
This trip provided guests with scenic flying with aerial views of the vast Outback, Cape York, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland Islands and rainforest fringed shores. Key highlights included staying on Thursday Island in the Torres Strait and relaxing in luxury tropical resorts in Port Douglas and Hamilton Island.
“It’s a terrific thing to celebrate this first tour we have been able to successfully complete in the COVID era” said CEO David Cox.
“It’s an exciting milestone and credit goes to our APT team who worked hard to make it happen and we thank all our partners and of course our guests who joined us for this incredible experience. We know it is the first of many such highlights we will be celebrating as we continue our long history of providing amazing travel experiences domestically, and when we can, further afield as well.” Cox added.
As Australia’s most awarded tour operator, with its history of over 90 years revealing the secrets of Australia to its guests, the company’s ability to evolve and offer unique product during difficult times is proof why APT is Australia’s leading tour operator.
