Explore TV’s Trevor Cochrane will showcase his very first river cruise experience when Explore TV returns to our screens on Channel Nine from Sunday 9 February 2020 at 4:30pm.
Sailing the 15-day Grand European Cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam, Trevor will take viewers on a journey through Central Europe, exploring Hungary, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. From picturesque countryside to historic castles, cobblestone villages and grand cities, this is the ultimate in river cruising.
Over four episodes, Trevor will take viewers deep into the heart of the destinations to showcase what truly makes this part of the world so special.
“I think I can claim to be a seasoned traveller, but cruising along the waterways of Europe allows you a really intimate insight,” said Trevor.
“It’s hard to explain how special this was. In particular, it was my first visit to Hungary and it did not disappoint.
“Throughout the cruise, I was surprised by the range of experiences you can have, and the variety of excursions. I found talking with guests at the end of each day, they had all done things quite diverse that left them enriched with knowledge of the places they visited, whether ancient or modern history. Being able to learn more about the destinations and see the evolution of architecture over 2000 years was incredible. The beauty of traveling this way is that you take a journey through time,” Trevor said.
