HOSHINOYA brand to open eighth resort in Okinawa

Hoshino Resorts have confirmed the opening of HOSHINOYA Okinawa, with the soft opening taking place on 15 April 2020 and the grand opening on 20 May 2020.

Located in Yomitan, Okinawa, the eighth resort under the HOSHINOYA Brand will enable guests to experience the unique scenery and laid-back lifestyle of Okinawa in a luxurious setting.

HOSHINOYA Kyoto listed in the MICHELIN Guide for the 10th consecutive year

For the 10th year in a row, HOSHINOYA Kyoto has been recognised as one of the most exemplary ryokans of the fifth and highest pavilion level, “Luxury”, in the 2020 MICHELIN Guide for Kyoto and Osaka.

The MICHELIN Guide carefully selects restaurants, hotels and ryokans within the prefectures of Kyoto, Osaka and Tottori. Hotels and Ryokans are awarded up to five levels of pavilions based on comfort.

Enjoy a hunter’s dinner in the woods of Mt Fuji

Japan’s first glamping resort, HOSHINOYA Fuji is holding a special winter dining experience for guests staying from 1 December 2019 to 15 March 2020.

Guest will have the opportunity to gather around a bonfire in the woods of Mt Fuji to try a course dinner of wild game meat such as venison and wild boar.

The high-quality meat is caught by experienced local hunters as a means of reducing numbers of a rapidly increasing deer and boar population – a nationwide problem due to their damage to agriculture and forestry.
