Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection President & CEO Ellen Bettridge will visit Australia in August to join key speakers at this year’s Cruise360 Australasia conference, where she will tackle the impact Generation Z travellers are having on the cruise sector and travel agent community.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) today confirmed Ms Bettridge would join other speakers including CLIA’s Global Chair Adam Goldstein at the industry’s peak annual forum for sharing ideas, knowledge and visions for the future. She will be part of a full-day line-up of expert speakers and panel sessions at the Sydney event, to be held on Friday August 30.

“The rising generation of young travellers is redefining the way we plan, shop, buy and experience travel,” said CLIA Australasia Managing Director Joel Katz. “Generation Z are not only reinventing travel for themselves, but also for other generations who are taking their lead and pursuing a more individualised and connected experience when they cruise.”

“Ellen will explain what this means for the travel agent community and provide insight into how the cruise sector has been among pioneers catering to younger consumers.”

Ms Bettridge has been President & CEO of Uniworld since August 2016 and has held past senior executive roles at Azamara Club Cruises and Silversea Cruises. She also spent more than 20 years at American Express in roles including Vice President of Retail Travel.

To be held at Hyatt Regency Sydney, this year’s Cruise360 conference will be the sixth staged in Australasia and will include a trade show for cruise industry exhibitors on August 30. CLIA members will also have an opportunity to join a dedicated Executive Partner Product and Destination showcase as well as a ship inspection aboard Princess Cruises’ Sea Princess on August 29.

Tickets for this year’s Cruise360 Australasia are now on sale and selling fast, with early booking rates available exclusively for CLIA members.
