Aircalin Increases Capacity From Australia And New Zealand To New Caledonia

Aircalin is excited to announce, commencing 04 December 2018, the airline will offer new regular weekly frequencies from Brisbane and Sydney to Noumea.http://www.tourismlegal.com.au/ At the same time, to meet seasonal demand, additional capacity will also be deployed from Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland.

Additional capacity from Brisbane

“In 2017, more than 35,000 passengers travelled on Aircalin between Noumea and Brisbane. This route has seen strong growth in traffic, with an increase of + 20% since 2013. Australian’s have made a significant contribution, with more Queenslanders discovering the Melanesian culture, amazing French food and beautiful beaches, only 2 hours flying from Brisbane” says Chris Thistlethwaite, General Manager Australia for Aircalin.

The company has therefore decided to increase its capacity by adding an additional Tuesday flight every week to its existing schedule of three flights, from 04 December 2018. “It will really open up access to the short break market and MICE market, with regular flights from Brisbane to Noumea” Thistlethwaite says.

Additional Codeshare Flights from Sydney to Noumea

In conjunction with the codeshare agreement with Qantas Airways, Aircalin will also offer additional frequency to Noumea on Wednesday’s commencing on 12 December 2018. This will result in daily flights between Sydney and Noumea.

Additional flights during High season

From mid-December to mid-February, during the traditional high season, the airline will add capacity on its regional network with 17 more flights from Brisbane (including the new regular service), 12 more flights from Sydney and 9 from Auckland to Noumea.
