After five years of construction, Zurich Airport has finally opened its brand new district, The Circle, to the public on 5 November 2020. Featuring two Hyatt hotels offering a combined 555 rooms, a world-class convention centre spanning 5,000sqm, a major medical centre with health and beauty facilities, 70,000sqm of state-of-the-art office space, scenic parks, a series of high-end shops and a range of concept restaurants, The Circle was conceptualised as a one-of-a-kind airport space aimed at making Zurich airport the next urban centre.

Designed and developed with the modern and future generations in mind, The Circle is already enjoying some prominent tenants including Microsoft, Hyatt, Omega, Singapore Airlines, Oracle, Läderach and many others. A major attraction with a view that has also taken up tenancy at The Circle is Switzerland’s largest rooftop venue, the stylish Sablier Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, serving up the finest and most delectable French culinary delights.

With sustainability at the forefront of the design, The Circle will be certified to the highest Leadership Energy and Environmental Design standard, LEED® PLATINUM. A certification standard developed by the US Green Building Council, this amounts to the maximum of 110 points for the seven criteria of sustainable construction, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, location and development plus innovation.

Along with being LEED certified, The Circle is also Minergie certified (a Swiss construction standard) for its high-quality building envelope, systematic ventilation, low energy requirements and the employment of renewable energies to provide superior comfort to the space.

With some 180,000sqm of space to explore and enjoy, including  Switzerland Tourism is very much looking forward to welcoming agents and travellers to experience The Circle when travel is safe again.
