Samsung Electronics H.K. Company, Limited has always been dedicated to leading scientific and technological development; deeply aware of the rapid development between technology and art in recent years, a focus is placed on enhancing the art viewing experience. This year, Samsung collaborated with Sotheby’s and Digital Art Fair Asia respectively, the two greatest exhibitions in Asia, to showcase international contemporary digital art and NFT encryption through a series of Samsung flagship TVs. This month, Samsung continues the momentum with International MotoXpo Hong Kong (IMXHK) to exhibit rare supercar themed NFT HyperArt.
“Samsung is proud to be the electronic display partner of the International MotoXpo Hong Kong, showcasing a number of NFT HyperArt creations by international and local artists through Samsung’s variety of TV lineups, including the flagship Neo QLED TV, Lifestyle TVs – The Frame, The Serif, The Sero, and the award-winning Samsung Flip ™ interactive e-board,” said Ellen Fu, Vice President, Consumer Electronics & Enterprise Business, Samsung Electronics H.K. Co., Ltd.
The exhibition is held at AsiaWorld-Expo from now until 5 December, under the theme of “Mobility+”. As Asia’s first motor show and the largest automobile event in 2021, IMXHK features over 50 international brands, more than 150 cars and a kaleidoscope of NFT artworks on the theme of supercars and Hong Kong automobile culture. The expo includes elements of prestigious auto builders’ Designer Zone, trendy brand collaborations, e-sports racing, and CARnival for children.
Top automotive design combined with NFT encrypted art
Located in the middle of the exhibition venue, the Designer Zone presents the organisers’ ideas in automotive, art, design and technology. Through a series of Samsung Neo QLED and The Frame, the zone showcases artworks by international and local artists on the theme of “Mobility+” and Hong Kong. These include the winner of Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Visual Effects and the creator of artificial intelligence ink artist A.I. Gemini’s Victor Wong, the surreal graphic designer Tommy Fung (Surreal HK), internationally renowned photographer and NFT artist Ali G, and street artist Szabotage.
Powered by Quantum Matrix Technology, Neo Quantum Processor and Quantum Mini LED, the Samsung Neo QLED TV series enables faster and more precise image processing, allowing contrast in light to be displayed more accurately. Through delivering the finest picture, it ensures that NFT artworks are viewed in the optimal manner, bringing the future of cars, art, design and technology to the audience.
Moreover, Samsung The Frame is another display used to showcase art pieces at the exhibition. Resembling an art piece itself, The Frame features new multi-color magnetic frames that holds excellent performance and flawless customizable design. Equipped with Quantum Processor 4K and QLED Quantum Dot Technology, the Frame maintains 100% true color gamut of artworks.

Antique collections blend with technology and NFT artworks

Previous motor shows have been held independently by individual brands, IMXHK is truly Hong Kong’s first expo that gathers the world’s top car brands, with exhibitions of jewelry, wine, watches and luxury antiques in hopes of giving the public a new experience.

In the Antiques Zone, a series of rare antique NFT artworks is presented through Samsung The Sero. The Sero’s space-saving and sea-blue stand has an elegant and minimalist design that fits easily into different exhibition area environments. Through Samsung’s Quantum Dot Technology, it can accentuate the fine patterns and bright colors of antiques.

The Innovative Samsung Flip ™ promotes STEM education for children
Additionally, at CARnival, a special automotive-themed children’s STEM workshop is designed to drive STEM education in line with global trends, equipping students to tackle the rapid economic, scientific and technological transformations and challenges of the 21st century.
CARnival features the award-winning Samsung Flip ™ interactive e-board with 4K Ultra High-Definition quality, allowing the new generation and art enthusiasts to communicate. Samsung Flip’s ™ “Brush Mode” recognizes handwriting of various thickness, so users can create masterpieces on the tip of the brush. It allows 20 users to synchronize drawings and erase graphics with their hands, increasing the joy of learning by creating and uploading works instantaneously.
Samsung is committed to innovating for the digital art industry
With the surging popularity of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) that revolutionized the global art and digital scene, Samsung vows to continue expanding its commitment to redefining modern solutions and delivering a flawless viewing experience for NFT artworks.
