Emirates first-ever full aircraft livery arrived in Sydney on 1 December, marking the resumption of A380 services to Australia.
As Premier Partner and Official Airline of Expo 2020 Dubai, Emirates is dedicated to carrying the global event’s messaging worldwide throughout the duration of the mega-event with its special A380 livery.
Barry Brown, Emirates Divisional Vice President for Australasia said: “We are delighted to be able to increase capacity and services to Australia, and what better way to mark this milestone than with the arrival of an aircraft displaying our incredible Expo 2020 Dubai livery. Our signature A380 services are highly popular amongst travellers, and Australians are no exception.”
Whether visiting Dubai or enjoying a quick stopover in our hub city before travelling to any of the more than120 destinations in our global network, a visit to Expo 2020 Dubai is a unique experience not to be missed. We are proud to spread the message to visit the event and Australians can fly with us to enjoy unique benefits to make the most of their visit.”
The aircraft was hard to miss as the bright blue, green, orange, pink, purple and red paint design acts as a backdrop for the distinct Expo 2020 Dubai logo and ‘Be Part of the Magic’ messaging that run along both sides of the A380’s fuselage.
Appearing on only three Emirates aircraft, the distinctive design will join 40 other special liveries dedicated to Expo 2020 Dubai, which have collectively flown to over 130 destinations across the Emirates network since 2018.
Designed, painted, produced and installed by the in-house Emirates team, this livery is by far one of the largest projects the airline has embarked on.
Resumption of A380 Services
The livery adorns the first Emirates A380 aircraft to return to Australian skies since the easing of international travel restrictions and marks the return of the much-loved A380 Sydney-Dubai services which resumed daily operations from 1 December 2021.
With the aircraft upgrade, the A380 aircraft offers 426 seats in Economy as well as its Premium cabins, 76 seats in Business Class and 14 in First Class, providing over 45% additional seats.
