The Galt House Hotel, Louisville’s legendary waterfront hotel, is proud to announce on-site COVID-19 testing and new safety measures for meetings and conventions.

Recently emerging from a historic property-wide renovation that spans over 1.5 million square feet to include all guestrooms, new food and beverage concepts and meeting spaces, the hotel’s refreshed aesthetic ushers a new standard of award-winning hospitality.

Launching this month, The Galt House will be one of the only hotels in Louisville to offer three types of on-site COVID-19 testing to the public as well as hotel guests. In partnership with Onsite Health Solutions, options will include the Rapid Antibody Serology, RT-PCR (polymerase chain reaction)-Nasal and Rapid Antibody as well as the Rapid Antigen Test.

Placing the well-being of guests and staff as top priority, rigorous cleanliness standards have also been enacted to deliver an outstanding experience with peace of mind. New policies include but are not limited to, enhanced food and beverage protocols; over 100 hand sanitation stations available throughout public spaces; six fog machine treatments to sanitize between each meeting; all staff to be rigorously aware of social distancing and wearing face coverings; marked flow for high traffic areas; COVID-19 capacity chart options and more.

As the largest meeting and convention hotel in the Southeast, The Galt House can adeptly host meetings of all sizes, making it an optimal choice for socially distanced arrangements. In line with the demands of today’s meetings market, the hotel has partnered with Audio Visual Management Solutions (AVMS) to offer groups a premium and seamless hybrid meetings experience. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, while leveraging the hotel’s existing 130,000-square feet of malleable floor arrangements, AVMS offers a variety of virtual event solutions tailored to each individual meetings’ needs, such as, audio and video conferencing, virtual studios, webcasting, webinars, virtual portals and more. With 53 meeting rooms, the largest conference room sized at over 25,000-square feet, The Galt House has an expert on-site staff at the ready who can safely bring any type of event to fruition.

The Galt House’s recent renovations of public and private spaces include upgrades to all 1,239 guestrooms and suites, which are the largest in Kentucky. Meeting spaces, such as the Conservatory (7,925-square-foot) has been transformed with modern fixings and the latest entertainment options, accompanied by phenomenal views of the Ohio River. Three restaurant and bar concepts offer the very best in Southern hospitality including Walker’s Exchange, a Kentucky brasserie that dotes upon Louisville’s early history as a port city and Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar, which touts an impressive menu of 180 types of bourbon as a nod to the spirit’s roots. The swanky Swizzle Dinner & Drinks recently debuted on the 25th floor of the hotel and offers top river and city views.
