AXA Thailand Insurance proudly announces the second phase of its groundbreaking partnership with the Oceans For All Foundation, elevating the “AXA Project Oceans For All” initiative to new heights. Building on last year’s remarkable success, AXA has committed to launch an innovative second catamaran, crafted entirely from recycled materials. This strategic expansion demonstrates AXA’s deepening investment in environmental stewardship and marks a significant milestone in the mission to revitalize the Chao Phraya River’s ecosystem. The initiative perfectly embodies AXA’s visionary ESG framework, which champions climate action, biodiversity preservation, and community empowerment.
Mr. Guillaume Mirabaud, Chief Executive Officer of AXA Thailand Insurance, emphasized, “Our commitment to environmental stewardship runs deep within AXA’s DNA, perfectly aligned with AXA Group’s global mission to pioneer sustainable business practices through our ESG framework. Following the remarkable impact of our inaugural ‘AXA Project Oceans For All’, we’re thrilled to invest an additional 1.3 million baht in a second state-of-the-art catamaran. This expansion will significantly amplify our waste collection capabilities across the Chao Phraya River throughout 2025. Beyond environmental impact, this initiative embodies our pledge to inspire change and foster community engagement, reinforcing our unwavering commitment to safeguarding what matters most to our customers.
Mr. David Martin, President and Co-founder of the Oceans For All Foundation, celebrated the initiative’s achievements: “The revolutionary 100% recycled material catamaran has exceeded our expectations in delivering tangible benefits to Bangkok’s communities. In just the first half of 2024, our pioneering vessel, backed by AXA’s vision, successfully retrieved an impressive 14,070 litres of waste from critical zones along the Chao Phraya River. The introduction of our second catamaran marks an exciting new chapter in aquatic conservation, promising to double our impact in preserving these vital waterways for future generations.”
Mr. Michael James Robinson, General Manager, Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort highlighted, “Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort takes immense pride in our continued support of the ‘AXA Project Oceans For All’. Our role extends beyond providing operational support and docking facilities; we’re implementing comprehensive waste management solutions for both recyclable and non-recyclable materials. This forms part of our broader commitment to environmental preservation, working hand-in-hand with Thailand’s leading organizations to drive sustainable development.”
This powerful collaboration exemplifies the transformative potential of partnership in environmental conservation. It sets a new benchmark for sustainable business practices while laying the groundwork for future expansion across Bangkok. Through this initiative, AXA Thailand, the Oceans For All Foundation, and Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort are not just cleaning waterways – they’re charting a course toward a more sustainable future for all.
