In a breathtaking display of love and adventure, thrill-seeking couple Prue and Alex have taken their relationship to new heights – quite literally – by exchanging vows on the SKYWALK at Sydney Tower Eye, 268 meters above the bustling streets of Sydney.
The daring duo, who first met while working in the mines decided to make their legal union one to remember. Known for their creative spirit and hunger for excitement, Prue and Alex chose SKYWALK as their unconventional altar.
While SKYWALK has been the site of numerous romantic proposals over the years, this marks a historic first, as the venue’s first legal wedding ceremony. “What better way to legalise our love than on top of Sydney’s iconic landmark,” said Prue, beaming in her blue SKYWALK suit adorned with a white veil.
The ceremony, attended by a small group including Alex’s brother and two close friends, was nothing short of spectacular. As Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli’s “Perfect Symphony” filled the air, Prue made her grand entrance onto the glass platform, creating an unforgettable ‘aisle’ moment, high above the Sydney skyline.
The couple’s celebrant had a specially attached booklet containing their vows to officiate the ceremony high above the city. The SKYWALK guides played an important role as ring bearers, keeping the rings attached to their harnesses until the couple placed them on each other’s hands. The exchange of “I dos” against the backdrop of Sydney’s panoramic views created a truly unique and heart-stopping moment.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests returned to the Observation Deck to sign the marriage certificate before celebrating with a romantic lunch.
This one-of-a-kind wedding showcased the couple’s adventurous spirit and highlighted Sydney Tower Eye’s SKYWALK as a prime location for unforgettable experiences.
