Culture Club brought back their 80s hits to the Wharf Stage (6)Buckle up, as race promoter Singapore GP Pte Ltd has launched #RevUpSG, an outreach campaign to engage the local community and create buzz around the upcoming Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2024.

All Singapore residents can look forward to an array of complimentary F1-themed activities and events at various heartland locations in the four-month long campaign, which will be rolled out progressively in phases. The #RevUpSG campaign starts its first phase with a series of educational experiences across the island.

Roving exhibit at public libraries

In a collaboration with the National Library Board, Singapore GP will present a specially curated Formula 1-themed showcase on rotation at six public libraries over the upcoming school holidays up till July. Visitors will get to discover the extraordinary abilities of an F1 driver as illustrated by local design studio Lab Six Five and check out the creative photo opportunities on display.

School Visits
Students in selected secondary schools and junior colleges will be in for treat, as a special programme jointly organised by Singapore GP, Mastereign Group representing F1 in Schools (Singapore), and EduTorque heads their way. The programme will feature a talk covering the science, technology, and engineering behind F1 as well as careers in the automotive industry. Students will also be able to have a go at miniature racing cars from the F1 in Schools challenge, and get an understanding of the principles of automotive engineering with an up-close look of a car display with an internal combustion engine.

Talks at Institutes of Higher Learning
Students at selected institutes of higher learning (IHLs) will also take a deep dive to study ‘The Grand Prix Effect: From Marina Bay to the Global Stage’. Key personnel will provide an insight behind the operations from the world’s greatest night race, while local automotive platform Sgcarmart will share innovations and key learnings from Formula 1 that has impacted the automotive industry. IHLs interested to be part of this programme may write in to Singapore GP via the official website singaporegp.sg.

Locals can expect more exciting opportunities to be announced in coming months with fan favourites such as the Behind the Scenes Tour, Pit Lane Experience, as well as live screenings of selected Formula 1 races which will be announced in the coming months.
