Webjet, a leading online travel agency in Australia, has today announced the relaunch of their partnership with AirAsia, making it easier than ever to search, compare, and book affordable flights to Asia and beyond, thanks to the airline’s unparalleled network.

The partnership is a sign of Webjet and AirAsia’s commitment to giving customers a greater breadth of choice and price point, adding hundreds of new flight options to Aussie favourite destinations including Bali, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok via AirAsia, AirAsiaX, Thai AirAsia X and AirAsia Indonesia.

In celebration of the new partnership, Webjet and AirAsia are launching a huge Asia sale from 20 May – 2 June 2024.

David Galt, CEO at Webjet OTA, says: “As consumers focus on finding great value for all their purchases, Webjet is more dedicated than ever to offering Aussies the best range of flight deals. The relaunch of our partnership with AirAsia underscores this dedication, ensuring convenient access to some of the most competitive fares for destinations experiencing a notable surge in demand for flights. For example, we’ve seen an increase in interest to the beloved Aussie hotspot, Bali, especially from Perth, as well as searches and bookings to Thailand continuing to rise.”

Paul Carroll, Chief Commercial Officer at AirAsia Group, comments: With four airlines in the AirAsia Group now flying to and from Australia for the first time, we offer more value and choice than ever before for our guests ‘Down Under’, which connect to over 130 destinations across Asia and beyond – including Aussie favourites like India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and more. It’s an opportune time to relaunch our partnership with Webjet, as we continue to consider further expanding our services in the near future.”

Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X, adds: “We have enjoyed a strong partnership in the past and it is great to be back on sale on Australia’s leading online travel agency. We know price, value and connectivity are core for our Australian guests who love our great value fares on medium haul routes to Asia and beyond, including Premium Flatbeds which are like business class seats for a fraction of the price and now offer lounge access in Sydney and Melbourne. AirAsia X has significant growth plans in line with strong demand, and Webjet’s support will go a long way in serving one of our most important markets.”
