Canberra Craft Beer Festival 2024 Broulee Brewery

Craft brew lovers from all over had a capital weekend attending Canberra’s Craft Beer & Cider Festival last weekend, with beers and ciders flowing at an impressive 499 litres per hour across the day.

A record crowd enjoyed the perfect weather and the 250+ beers, ciders and spirits on offer in the grounds and surrounds of the Mercure Canberra at Braddon.

Breweries and distilleries attending included local favourites Bentspoke, Cypher, Choc Rum and Ambrosia Distillery. Behemoth Brewing made the trip from across the Tasman, and interstate visitors included Broulee Brewhouse, One Drop, Coastal Brewing, Mountain Goat, Thirsty Devil Brewery, Sydney Brewery and many others.

Festival organiser Jenny Farrell said the lively crowd appreciated the high quality of brews available and the entertainment, which included a spicy hot dog competition, Hanging Bar challenge, and hook-a-tinnie game along with live performances by The Plum and Burley Griffin. Attendees at the Festival also generously donated to the Rise Above Charity.

Many patrons extended the day’s fun by taking advantage of shuttle transfer services to watch Skyfire on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin.

The 18th iteration of the Canberra Craft Beer & Cider Festival will return next year in March.
