Tasmania’s leading luxury lodge Saffire Freycinet has announced a new year offer with time to put plans in place for Tasmania’s beautiful cool season, with 25 per cent savings offered on all stays of three nights or more.

The super savings are on offer for stays between the dates of April 1 and September 30, 2024, spanning the gentle autumn, winter and early spring seasons. Experience the distinctive charm of Tasmania’s east coast during this time where clear skies meet calm bays and migrating whales frequently visit.

This offer encourages guests to spend a little longer exploring the spectacular Freycinet region, enjoying fine local food and drinks, rejuvenating spa treatments and relaxing at Saffire Freycinet as a luxury base.

Guests can enjoy the theatre of the weather as it plays out in Great Oyster Bay from the warm comfort of the lounge or Palate restaurant, whilst enjoying all-inclusive luxuries fireside, from small-scale premium Tasmanian Pinot Noir and Chardonnays to fine Tasmanian sparkling wines, local whiskies and small batch distilled gins.

Guests can enjoy calm sailing onboard the popular Seafood and Sparkling cruise and spot whales as they glide in the bay. Seals spotted basking in the sun during the Waubs Harbour Whisky experience – home to Tasmania’s maritime single malt whisky – at the nearby coastal town of Bicheno are another seasonal delight.

On the daily-changing tasting menus created by Saffire Executive Chef Paddy Prenter, guests can expect fresh, sustainably produced seafood with oysters coming from nearby Dolphin Sands, rock lobster from the lodge’s surrounding waters and octopus from Stanley in the state’s north. The Robbins Island wagyu beef is exceptional, along with aged lamb loin and farmed venison from Springfield Farm.

“We are spoilt with exceptional produce in Tasmania – including from our own new kitchen garden – and I’m privileged to take our guests on a culinary journey during their stay. We are fortunate that our state teems with world-leading seasonal produce – including delights like winter truffle – so there is never a better time to enjoy our tasting menu,” Mr Prenter said.

Saffire Freycinet General Manager Patrick Barrie said the cool season offer was designed to offer guests an incentive to spend a little extra time on holidays.

“There’s so much to discover here at Saffire on the beautiful Freycinet coast, from fine local wines with the winemakers, to walking adventures or savouring oysters shucked fresh from the lease. Plus, there’s the pure delight of kicking back to lazily watch the ever-changing views of the Hazards Mountains from our guest suites,” Mr Barrie said.

All-inclusive rates on the 25% Savings Cool Season offer start at $2250 per night for two guests.
