InterContinental Sydney is launching a new partnership with Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, which will see the two historic landmarks come together to offer a series of events for guests, employees and the wider community to enjoy.
Observing their long history of association, the partnership will further InterContinental Sydney’s support of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
InterContinental Sydney’s General Manager, Jennifer Brown said, “We’re honoured and thrilled to be partnering with Botanic Gardens of Sydney and to be building on our time-honoured connection with this incredibly important natural masterpiece in the heart of our beloved city.”
“InterContinental Sydney’s unique position just a stone’s throw away from the Garden affords us uninterrupted views and access, but our connection goes much deeper than this.”
“This new partnership will not only enable us to offer hotel guests and our team more opportunities to explore the beautiful Gardens on our doorstep, but it will also allow us to increase our support for the scientific, horticultural and cultural work of the Gardens.”

Chief Executive of Botanic Gardens of Sydney, Denise Ora, welcomed the opportunity for new visitors to experience the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. “InterContinental Sydney has a special connection to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney; the historic Treasury Building of the hotel was one of our first neighbours after the Gardens were built.”
“We’re delighted to see a new aspiration for its guests to join our important cultural and scientific Tours. It’s the next step in both organisation’s efforts to showcase the best of Sydney to our community.”

The Tree of Life cocktail at The Treasury
With Royal Botanic Garden Sydney home to a myriad of more than 27,000 plants from around the world, InterContinental Sydney has worked with the team at Archie Rose Distilling Co to create The Tree of Life – a botanically inspired welcome drink and a nod to the surrounding Gardens. The carefully crafted cocktail features the highest quality gin and mac liquor and incorporates a beautiful blend of native botanicals individually found in Royal Botanic Garden Sydney Herb Garden and Pavillion, including citrus saccharum, wattle and coffee foam, pink grapefruit and lemon balm. The co-created cocktail will also feature on The Treasury’s menu from 1 December 2023.
Protecting and preserving the Gardens
InterContinental Sydney’s partnership with Royal Botanic Garden Sydney will help to protect the Garden’s Living Collection, which conserves thousands of plants, including rare and endangered species. The hotel’s contribution will also go towards the Garden’s important Education programs that work to inspire and empower communities through science, cultural and horticultural knowledge.
