The live feed showcases many animals attracted to the salt lick for essential minerals critical to their health. Throughout the day and into the night, illuminated by infrared technology, a parade of wildlife graces the screen. Viewers can expect to see gazelles, warthogs, zebras, impalas, topis, buffaloes, and even herds of elephants and giraffes, all under the watchful eyes of lurking predators like leopards and lions.

Andy and Claudia Stuart, the third-generation custodians of the family-owned Bushtops camps, have expressed their excitement over this digital endeavour. “What a privilege to offer this permanent window to the wild,” they remark. While acknowledging the unparalleled beauty of a physical safari, they invite travel agents and tour operators to share this live feed with their clients, potentially inspiring them to book a real-life African adventure.

The most active hours for wildlife sightings are between 10 AM and 4 PM Kenya time (GMT+3). However, the webcam also archives the previous 12 hours of footage, ensuring enthusiasts in different time zones never miss a moment.

Mara Bushtops, established on the fringes of the Maasai Mara National Park, is renowned for its “wild luxury” experience under canvas. Along with its sister camps in Tanzania – Serengeti Bushtops and the mobile Roving Bushtops – it offers an unrivalled safari experience steeped in comfort, sustainability, and a profound respect for nature.
