Jetstar Asia (3K) is celebrating the relaunch of its popular service from Singapore to Osaka via Manila today as the first flight takes off, reintroducing convenient and low-cost travel between the exciting cities.
The Airbus A320 took off from Singapore at 02:00, before departing Manila at 06:55, with the soldout flight carrying 180 excited passengers to Japan for the first time in three years.
The Singaporean low-cost carrier will operate five services a week between Singapore and Osaka, increasing to daily from 30 December to meet the pent-up demand for the popular service.
Jetstar Asia CEO, Barathan Pasupathi said Jetstar Asia’s return to Japan was an important milestone as the low-fares airline continued to grow its extensive Asian network.
“Osaka is an exciting destination for travellers from Singapore and the Philippines and this route demonstrates our commitment to providing more low-fare options for our customers across Asia,” Mr. Barathan said.
“Known as the food capital of Japan, Osaka is also famous for its nightlife, architecture, and history, so we’re excited to be able to offer our great low fares to this incredible city once again.”
“And in return, we know our Japanese customers are excited to have easy access to Manila, the exciting bustling metropolis, as well as being able to seamlessly connect to Singapore where they
can enjoy a myriad of iconic attractions and activities here in our ‘Garden City’.
