AIME - logoThe theme for AIME’s 2024 Knowledge Program has been announced: “The 4Ps of GLOCALISATION” will explore the relationship between global insights and local nuances.

Curated by BEAM in collaboration with the 2024 Knowledge Program Advisory Committee, the Knowledge Program will launch AIME on 19 February 2024.

Two keynote speakers will explore the intricate dynamics of glocalisation’s transformative impact: award-winning marketing executive Lisa Ronson (supported by Saxton Speakers Bureau) and bestselling author, TV host and founder of the 100 Things movement, Sebastian Terry (supported by ICMI).

El Kwang, BEAM Founder, Chief Engager and 2024 AIMEbassador, says the focus of the Knowledge Program in 2024 is to offer content that is not only pertinent but also practically applicable to the current needs of the global business events industry.

“This is particularly important for the AIME community, which seeks immediate, actionable insights to keep pace with the rapid technological innovations experienced over the last year,” he says.

Kwang says the Knowledge Program has transformed from a ‘nice-to-have’ feature to an essential element of a global industry trade show such as AIME.

“It’s increasingly serving as a platform for co-learning, fostering psychological and social connections within the community,” he says.

Kwang says the 2024 Knowledge Program Advisory Committee has been tasked to address several critical challenges in the global business events industry. These include managing heightened expectations and diverse needs alongside the prevalent issue of shorter attention spans.

“A critical balance must be struck between covering broad business topics and diving deep enough to provide meaningful insights,” he says.

As part of the Knowledge Program,, concurrent breakout sessions will focus on the 4P’s: People, Planet, Purpose, and Profit. Kwang says a new highlight for 2024 is ‘The Pitch’, where the leading speakers from each session will have 60 seconds to pitch their topics to the plenary participants.

“It’s going to be fascinating to see how participants prioritise their preferences in this dynamic format,” he says.

According to Kwang, nurturing new talent is more important than ever to create a vibrant and dynamic industry that thrives into the future. Providing the proper support and growth opportunities, especially for middle management, is critical.

“Events such as AIME provide a fertile training ground for the next generation of talent, exposing them to the ideas, trends and people shaping the industry today, while encouraging their career growth,” he says.

New for 2024 is the AIME Accelerate Program. For professionals with less than five years of experience in the events sector – but keen to make their mark – this program allows them to supercharge their career and become an “AIME Rocket”.

Kwang says the industry’s rising stars should pitch to their bosses that they should be at  AIME – for there really is no better place to see the industry in action!

The AIME 2024 Knowledge Program is attended by Hosted Buyers, Media, Exhibitors and Visitor Buyers who upgrade their ticket. Still, opportunities for education and inspiration continue for all attendees on the following days of AIME at the Ideas Academy presented by Spice Magazine.

AIME 2024 will run from 19 –21 February 2024 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
