Australia’s newest luxury destination – The Langham, Gold Coast, is proud to announce its partnership with the esteemed Champagne house, Veuve Clicquot Rosé, to introduce an exclusive afternoon tea experience that draws inspiration from a champagne embodying sophistication and flair, reminiscent of the legacy of Madame Clicquot herself.
Set within the grandeur of The Langham’s highly-acclaimed Palm Court, the Afternoon Tea provides an opulent backdrop for a sensory experience, inviting guests to revel in life’s most refined pleasures.
“This collaboration is a celebration of artistry, an ode to innovation, and a toast to timeless allure, said John O’Shea, General Manager of The Langham, Gold Coast. “Together, we offer guests an Afternoon Tea experience that gracefully intertwines luxurious hospitality with world-class champagne.”
Curated by The Langham’s executive culinary team, the menu features a blend of sweet and savoury delicacies, meticulously paired to enhance the effervescent charm of Veuve Clicquot Rosé. On the nose, this champagne unfolds with a bouquet of red fruit and citrus aromas, while the palate is lively and fresh – a true reflection of Madame Clicquot’s audacious spirit.
Gary Petzer, The Langham, Gold Coast’s Sommelier, adds, “Veuve Clicquot Rosé, the first known blended rosé champagne, is a triumph of balance. Its cuvee, composed of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 20% Meunier which is the Traditional Blend for the famous Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, then in 1818 Madame Clicquot decided to add a small portion of Pinot Noir still wine to this blend and the fruity full-bodied style of Rose was born, and today stands as a testament to the art of blending.”
“The elegant Veuve Clicquot Rosé, celebrated for its refined character and exceptional taste, marries seamlessly with the diverse flavours of the Afternoon Tea offering,” continues Petzer.
Savoury enthusiasts can anticipate delicacies crafted from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, such as chilled Mooloolaba Prawns embraced by ruby grapefruit, mint and a hint of gochujang.
Meanwhile, those with a sweet tooth can lose themselves in delectable desserts inspired by the vibrancy of seasonal spring fruits, including ‘Raspberry & Hibiscus’ and ‘Blueberry & Violet.’
The Veuve Clicquot Rosé Afternoon Tea will run until December, with a limited number of seatings available each day, between 2pm – 5pm with last seatings taking place at 4pm.
Prices are set at $169pp (Monday to Friday), $179pp (Saturday to Sunday), inclusive of a complimentary glass of Veuve Clicquot Rosé. For reservations and further information, please visit our website here.
