Radisson Hotel GroupIn a groundbreaking move set to redefine luxury hospitality in the South East Asia and Pacific (SEAP) region, the Radisson Hotel Group has unveiled its ambitious expansion plans. The esteemed Group is asserting its dominance and commitment to innovation and excellence by enlarging its portfolio in prime capital cities and leading tourist hotspots spanning the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

At the prestigious Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific, the Radisson Hotel Group made a grand announcement, setting the hospitality world abuzz. The Group plans to enhance and elevate its bold and upper-upscale hotel brand, Radisson RED, introducing it in prime locations such as Danang, Vietnam; Phuket, Thailand; and Cebu City, Philippines. These hotels promise to offer spaces brimming with style and exceptional design, creating unforgettable experiences for guests.

But the Radisson Hotel Group is not stopping there. In a strategic move, the luxury Radisson Collection brand is set to debut in the SEAP region. With openings scheduled for 2024 in Galle, Sri Lanka, and Boracay, Philippines, these iconic properties are poised to become landmarks in their own right, offering unmatched luxury in unique locations.

The expansion continues with the Group’s upper upscale brand, Radisson Blu, which is set to make waves with new properties in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Hoi An, Vietnam. These additions are a testament to the Group’s unwavering commitment to providing top-tier global hospitality experiences.

Elie Younes, the visionary Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer of Radisson Hotel Group, shared his insights, “Our growth journey in Asia and around the world is propelled by our dedicated owners, guests, and team members. We are creating unparalleled opportunities across all hospitality sectors, from midscale to luxury. Asia, with its tremendous potential, is a testament to this. Our success is evident in the addition of over 150 hotels in the APAC region, and we are eager to continue this trajectory of exponential growth.”

Ramzy Fenianos, the Chief Development Officer Asia-Pacific of Radisson Hotel Group, echoed these sentiments, expressing his excitement about introducing new brands like Radisson RED and Radisson Collection to the vibrant markets of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. He noted, “This is a monumental moment in our development strategy, marking the growth of our lifestyle brands in key markets including the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, all of which hold immense potential for future growth.”

In Sri Lanka, Radisson Hotel Group is quickly becoming a leading force in hospitality, with three hotels added earlier in 2023 and a total portfolio of six in operation or development. The 376-key Radisson Blu Hotel, Galadari Colombo, set to open in 2025, is a prime example of the Group’s commitment to upscale hospitality in central locations.

The Philippines is set to welcome two new lifestyle brands under the Radisson umbrella, with the Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue and the Radisson Collection Resort, Fridays Boracay, opening in 2024. These additions build on the Group’s momentum in the Philippines, following a Master Development Agreement signed in April 2023 with SM Hotels & Convention Corp, aiming for 20 hotels by 2028.

Thailand remains a vital market for Radisson Hotel Group, with seven new hotels signed since the start of 2022, adding over 1,300 rooms to the Group’s portfolio. The upcoming openings in Bangkok and Phuket under various Radisson brands in 2024 are set further to solidify the Group’s regional presence.

In Vietnam, Radisson Hotel Group is making significant strides, with eight hotel openings in the pipeline. This includes the market entrance of Radisson RED in Danang, a 165-key hotel promising an array of social and dining spaces.

With over 60 hotels in operation and development across Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the Radisson Hotel Group is on a steadfast journey to redefine luxury hospitality. For more information, please visit www.radissonhotels.com.
