Allara GlobalLeading Australian firm Allara Global is setting a new gold standard in hospitality and bar staff training. Post-COVID, the company’s distinct e-learning platform, JERRY, has drawn international attention, with a surge of students from 25 nations joining in to supercharge their hospitality prowess.

Having taken over JERRY from Singapore’s Proof & Company in 2021, Allara Global reengineered the courses Down Under, unveiling them online just before this month’s grand launch. Since its acquisition, the platform has witnessed a phenomenal 128% increase in client subscriptions over the past year. With a staggering 138% growth in overall course completions, the platform now boasts as many as 16,000-course completions monthly. The past June marked a new zenith with record-breaking numbers.

JERRY’s monumental rise can be attributed to its premium content: an arsenal of captivating video masterclasses conducted by three of Australia’s finest bartenders. Marco Nunes, Evan Stroeve, and 2022’s Australian Bar Awards’ Top Bartender, Priscilla Leong, impart their vast knowledge to students, ranging from novice enthusiasts to industry professionals.

Structured categories, including Cocktail Techniques, Bartender Skills, Beverage Knowledge, and Floor Service Skills, ensure learners of all levels find a fitting module.

Andrew Lewis, Allara Global’s esteemed CEO, expressed, “JERRY’s transformative impact on the hospitality sector can’t be emphasized enough. Our e-learners get unparalleled exposure to Australia’s crème de la crème bartenders, equipping them with elite skills while offering global accessibility.”

Marco Nunes, who educates on JERRY and champions its global initiatives, highlighted the platform’s self-paced learning model. Students can seamlessly navigate through courses, unlocking esteemed JERRY certifications at their convenience. Nunes adds, “JERRY goes beyond just training. E-learners have a vault of resources, from cheat sheets and operational checklists to enriching webinars.”

Addressing the global hospitality workforce challenge, Nunes pointed to recent data from the Australian government. A worrying 45% of businesses in the accommodation and food services sector reportedly face dire staff shortages this year. “Our solution to this global challenge isn’t just innovative; it’s indispensable,” he stated.

Beyond individual training, JERRY offers tailored solutions catering to diverse business scales. Esteemed chains like Four Seasons Hotels and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group have already harnessed JERRY’s offerings.

The platform’s intriguing name pays homage to Jerry Thomas of New York, hailed as the pioneer of the world’s inaugural Bartender Guide in the 19th century.

As Allara Global’s JERRY continues to reshape global hospitality training paradigms, the world watches, learns, and toasts to a brighter future.
