Spread the love

Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, introduces a programme of illuminating experiences this summer season in the footsteps of seminal Swiss photographer, Albert Steiner.
With a front row seat to a dynamic calendar of sport, cultural and culinary events and exclusive
access to invigorating alpine experiences, the Kulm invites guests to immerse themselves in a world
of adventure, culture, and rejuvenation under the enchanting mountain light, as captured by Steiner 100 summers ago.

Footsteps of an Artist

Shining a light on the magical works of Albert Steiner, who captured the natural beauty of the stunning Engadin, Kulm has created a series of experiences for guests to ‘step into the picture’.
New hiking, driving, and cycling maps lead to locations of his iconic shots, where the scenery remains largely unchanged today, framed by the views of wildflowers, free flowing streams, and snow-peaked mountains, such as ‘Quiet Morning at Lake Sils’ as captured in 1920 beside the gleaming lake.
Guests are invited to bring the pictures to life with their own experiences, enjoy a picnic or explore
the scenery whilst immersing in the real life ‘still image’.

Kulm’s creative partnerships include working with local photographers. Andrea Furger, known for capturing the rugged nature of the mountain wilderness, takes guests out to discover the scenery on photographic hiking and biking tours. Daniel Meuli, who is inspired by the striking landscapes and flora and fauna of the region, introduces guests to the skilled art of analogue photography. Guests can enjoy learning about their unique camera work, as well as benefiting from their local knowledge and expertise.

Further showcasing the exceptional work of Albert Steiner, a temporary photographic exhibition will ‘pop-up’ at Kulm.

Enlightened Experiences

The Kulm’s ‘High Points’ programme takes guests to new heights with experiences that boost endorphins and create meaningful connections with the destination, from mountain meditations,
fly fishing and forest bathing to daring adrenaline-releasing adventures such as paragliding over the peaks by moonlight. High Points also offers guests insights into local culture and tradition with private visits to a local Tessanda hand-weaving workshop and a tour of the local Sgraffito works of art.

Surrounded by sparkling lakes and crystal-clear rivers, guests can at any time take a refreshing dip in the pristine waters and feel the healing power of a swim ensconced in wild nature.

Spotlight on the Season

With a front row seat to the season’s vibrant calendar of events – from the St Moritz Summer Polo Cup to trail running weekends, Kulm is at the heart of the action. A key highlight of the calendar is Festival da Jazz, a week-long series of performances by some of the most talented jazz musicians from around the world, from big band ensembles to solo performances. As the official host of the festival, Kulm’s iconic venues play host to some of the most intimate events at the legendary Dracula Club, where stars such as Randy Crawford and Nigel Kennedy have graced the stage, and the Sunny Bar, Switzerland’s oldest sports bar, hosts an exclusive series of midnight concerts.
