Invigorated by the tremendous success of the first two in situ events at Le Negresco, the Arty Kids workshop returns on 19 April 2023 !
This time, artist Youssef Boubekeur, will take on the role of arty guide, much to the delight of children.

Hand-in-hand with Art Kids Company, “a dynamic and innovative player in the cultural and artistic development of children”, Le Negresco is intent on bringing happiness to children through joyful and educational activities.

Arty Kids in a few words and dates…
Since March 2022, children have their very own dedicated page on the Hôtel Le Negresco website, which includes the Arty Negresco’s Kids digital workshop. Two creative workshops inspired by the creative values of Le Negresco Hotel. The first workshop is based on heritage while the second revolves around eco recycled objects. The workshop sheets are available for download on the website. Once printed, children can reconstitute their preferred décor.
The first in situ workshop at Le Negresco was launched on 13 April 2022 by Nice artist Jean-Marc Calvet.
A second workshop was organised on 2 November 2022 with the artist Jordane Saget.

The third in situ workshop will be hosted on Wednesday 19 April 2023 by Youssef Boubekeur, an artist who creates extraordinarily realistic figures and felines. Using an everyday tool – blue pen – “the artist successfully captures the sharp glances and the emotions of felines in lively, smooth and modern traits.”
The Animals in Disguise workshop will be split into 3 sub-workshops:
A drawing workshop : exploring a technique. The children will explore the theme of animals in Youssef’s universe and turn them into characters.
A technical workshop : children will produce masks inspired by the artist’s fantastic and enchanting animals.
A group workshop : all together, the children will make a giant fresco, from an exclusive drawing by Youssef Boubekeur.
This creative workshop will be held from 2pm to 5pm at the Salon Massena, where two cultural coaches from Art Kids Company will be in charge of the children (aged 4 to 10).
The cost of the event is € 50, which includes an afternoon snack prepared by Le Negresco’s very own pastry Chef Charles Bernard.

Le Negresco also champions the gastronomic awakening of Arty Kids. Chef Virginie Basselot has specially devised two menus : “La Madeleine de Proust” (€ 55 menu) in MICHELIN-starred restaurant Le Chantecler, and the Children’s menu (€ 18 menu) at the contemporary brasserie La Rotonde.
Rates applicable for children up to the age of 12.

These events are part of Le Negresco’s family programme. Le Negresco’s 128 unique rooms and suites invite you on a journey through many different atmospheres. They will appeal to children and adults and propose a ludic and original treatment for the privileged guests of this art hotel.
