The award-winning The Westin Brisbane is taking the plunge this summer, debuting the Nautilus Beach Club and opening the hidden oasis to the public every weekend from December 16.

Located within The Westin Brisbane, Nautilus Pool & Bar is a resort-style pool with the city’s first and only swim up pool bar, set to elevate the calibre of the growing Brisbane pool bar scene.

The Amalfi Coast themed club will take over the 5-star hotel in the city from 11:00 until 19:00, Friday to Sunday until March, with a range of packages designed for Mediterranean-inspired poolside lounging.

Included in the $29 entry fee is a welcome spritz on arrival and use of the pool and facilities for up to eight hours.

For those seeking Mediterranean-inspired decadence, private cabanas for two are $239 and include a fresh seafood platter and bottle of rosé.

Brad Mercer, General Manager of The Westin Brisbane said that the launch would be the first for Brisbane in many ways, giving locals and hotel guests a unique destination to enter vacation mode without leaving the city.

“Located in the heart of the CBD, the Nautilus Beach Club is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day or weekend in Brisbane,” Mr Mercer said.

“Not only is it the first hotel to open up its pool for locals to enjoy, but it’s also Brisbane’s first and only swim-up pool bar in the city; there is nothing else like it.”

He said to create an iconic beach club atmosphere, The Westin Brisbane had scouted world-class entertainment to play on deck from 15:30 – 18:30 Friday to Sunday.

“Globe-trotting DJ Vicki Lee will ease guests into the weekend on Fridays, while DJ Gloria Ansell, fresh from performing in Ibiza and Miami, will bring the party on Saturdays and Sundays,” he said.

“While the swim-up bar and entertainment is sure to be a drawcard, ticket holders will also have access to a delectable menu featuring Moreton Bay bug rolls, Hiramasa king fish ceviche and the Nautilus seafood platter.”

The specially designed spritz menu will feature Amalfi Coast classics including Limoncello, the Hugo Malfy Spritz and Campari, and a classic Piña Colada.

“It’s a sophisticated and stylish venue suitable for all the weather that a Brisbane summer may bring. The pool opens out onto a cityscape and is everything a Brisbane summer represents, heated to a comfortable 28 degrees and ready to welcome guests.”

With champagne on ice, crisp Amalfi spritzes at the ready, seafood platters prepared, cabanas available, and poolside lounging aplenty, guests can book their spot online at Brisbane Tickets.

Staying the night is also a breeze with a Westin Summer Escape accommodation package.
