Cherry blossom season is the cultural highlight of the Japanese calendar. Every spring – at a slightly different time each year – sakura trees across the country come into bloom, suffusing the towns and countryside with a sudden and gorgeous flush of pink and white.

You’ll be staying at LOQUAT Nishiizu, a historic guesthouse that was once the residence of the local lords, the Suzuki family.
