L-R: TAANZ CEO Greg Hamilton with AFTA Chair Tom Manwaring in AucklandThe strong and longstanding partnership between the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) and the Travel Agents’ Association New Zealand (TAANZ) continues to grow.

AFTA chair Tom Manwaring caught up with TAANZ chief executive Greg Hamilton in Auckland recently.

“AFTA is proud to have a strong and valuable relationship with TAANZ which allows us to share issues, ideas and insights and work together on solutions and initiatives which deliver for our members,” commented AFTA chief executive Dean Long.

“We haven’t had much of an opportunity in recent years to get together but we have continued to collaborate across the Tasman as we navigated our way through Covid and into recovery. We look forward to this important relationship between our two peak industry bodies continuing.”

TAANZ chief executive Greg Hamilton said that as travel rebuilt to pre-2020 levels, it had become “more important than ever that the peak travel industry bodies in both countries work together as both countries share similar challenges and opportunities.

“Building consumer confidence and awareness of the value and security of accredited travel agents are at the top of both associations’ priorities,” Hamilton said.
