Flight Centre Business Travel (FCBT) and Virgin Australia have partnered to deliver a money-can’t-buy workshop where 10 individuals across five businesses got to experience insights, advice, and mentoring from business leaders, fellow entrepreneurs, and experts.

The winners were picked at random via a draw and came from Manteena Pty Ltd, Aury Australia, Acid Plant Management Services, Lauxes Products, and QBD books, with the event taking place at Flight Centre Travel Group’s Global HQ at Southpoint in Brisbane.

“A travel manager is now more critical than ever and we’re incredibly passionate about helping small and medium businesses go places – we take great pride in delivering a one-on-one personal service to help our customers navigate the new normal,” said FCBT General Manager Cameron Harris.

“We’re pleased to have partnered with our good friends at Virgin Australia and we put together an exclusive, full-day workshop with some of Australia’s business greats, all with the aim to arm our 10 lucky winners across five businesses with the tools to come back bigger and better post-pandemic.

“Small to medium businesses put in the hard yards – they look for opportunities, learn from their mistakes, think big, take risks, and build a network – and we’re very happy to assist their journey.

“We see ourselves as travel partners and by being part of one of Australia’s largest and most trusted organisations, it allows us to offer our SME clients a lot more than just managing their travel.”

“Virgin Australia has always played an important role in the travel needs of small and medium-sized businesses,” said Virgin Australia Group GM of SME Shanika Ekanayake.

“We know value is the most important thing for this segment, which is why we recently introduced Virgin Australia Business Flyer*, to provide even more value. The proposition is resonating and we have seen a significant increase in our SME passenger numbers from Feb 2022 – May 2022.

“The Virgin Australia Business Flyer proposition offers up to an additional six per cent off fares, enables businesses and travellers to earn Velocity points (a Double dip on Points when they fly with Virgin Australia) and the opportunity to earn two Velocity Pilot Golds*.

“We’re pleased to have partnered with FCBT in introducing our new product offerings with great value fares*. We know that’s important for small to medium-sized businesses and corporates who are emerging from the pandemic more conscious of value provided by their travel partners than ever before.”

The money-can’t buy workshop was exceptionally well received by all the winners across the five businesses, with a number of them highlighting the emotional quotient session as a real standout.

“The money-can’t-buy workshop has been a wonderful and inspiring experience. I love the authenticity and transparency and I have taken away so many ideas that we can adopt into our own business,” said Melani Hays of Acid Plant Management Services.

“What stood out was how authentic the speakers were. The content delivered wasn’t tokenistic and the passion for the purpose was genuine,” said Kara Gibbs of Lauxes Products.
