Celebrate world gin day
Imbibis Craft Distillery is celebrating world gin day on June 11 with the release of their new Heritage City Gin. They will be open from 12pm-7pm for tastings and cocktails and will have live jazz music from 2pm. There has been only 160 bottles of the new gin available, it will be available to purchase online at 9am on June 11.

Top Tourism Town Awards announcement
On Monday Marburg tourism businesses will be waiting to hear if they’ve won as the Top Tourism Town Awards are announced. Marburg is a finalist in the Top Tiny Town category and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Brisbane on Monday June 13 from 4pm-6pm.

Queensland Raceway to reveal renovations
On July 2 Queensland Raceway will hold an open day to launch the new improved facility – with new pit lane infrastructure, corporate suites, shaded seating and viewing areas, a new café and an loo upgrade.
There will be kids activities like face painting, balloon twisting and a jumping castle, plus a 100-car show ‘n’ shine. See Matty Mingay and the Hot Wheels Stunt Team, as well as past and present Supercar drivers with Q&A sessions. There will be on-track displays and passenger opportunities with the V8 Race Experience, On Track Drift and 2-Up Superbike runs.
Racing legend Dick Johnson will re-open the main straight on the day. And the only Aston Martin Vulcan in the Southern Hemisphere (1 of 24 in the world) will be part of the special day, with hot laps being actioned off, with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities in SEQ.

New interactive camel experience
Summer Land Camels are excited to announce a new Interactive Camel Experience! Get up close and personal with a camel at the world’s largest wild camel training facility. Hear from one of the experienced and knowledgeable cameleers about camels survival superpowers and learn all about their unique and quirky anatomy. You’ll get to pat and brush the camel and hand-feed a special treat. You’ll learn about their different personalities and the incredible bond that develops between camels and their trainers. This highly entertaining experience will fascinate and educate and leave you with a new appreciation for the majestic, gentle animals.

Winter Igloo Garden at the Mihi Tavern
The winter igloo garden is back! Brisbane Valley Rail Trail re-opens
After a spate of drenching rain, the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail was opened again in its entirety on Friday. This means people can ride the 161km trail from Wulkuraka in Ipswich all the way to Yarraman.
