Spread the love

A family owned and operated luxury resort, Spice Island Beach Resort was founded by visionary hotelier and consummate host, Sir Royston Hopkin KCMG, who fell in love with a beautiful spot on the spectacular Grand Anse Beach in his native Grenada and set about crafting the quintessential Caribbean luxury resort nestled against a backdrop of lush green hills, swaying palms and the deep blue Caribbean Sea. Sir Royston passed in 2020, having made a towering contribution to the hospitality sector in the region and his larger-than-life personality remains embedded in the DNA of this award-winning retreat.  The legacy he started is now safely in the hands of his daughter, Janelle Hopkin, President and Managing Director, her sister, Nerissa Hopkin, and her mother, Lady Betty Hopkin.  Together, the family will continue the resort’s tradition of excellence, while embracing the modern luxury of the 21st century to firmly secure its position as the premier luxury destination in Grenada.
For Solace Seekers
World Spa Awards 2022 nominee, Janissa’s Spa offers rejuvenation for body and soul by harnessing the restorative power of spices, seaweed and citrus zest to revive and revitalise.  Janissa’s Spa is managed by Abby Samuel, who began her career with the resort in 2014 and was recently promoted to Spa Manager.  Other elements of the resort to soothe the soul include the beachfront yoga pavilion and taking some meditative moments in the hotel’s secret herb and spice garden.
For Romance
Seventeen of Spice Island Beach Resort’s 64 luxurious suites have private pools, making them ideal as a sanctuary for couples or solo travellers.  Private dinners can be arranged in suite and the spa has a dedicated couple’s massage room.  A private yoga session for two can also be arranged at the beachfront yoga pavilion.
For Families
The complimentary Nutmeg Pod activity centre is open daily with a full-day activity programme for children between the ages of three and 12.  Each child receives their own goodie box on check-in which includes branded gifts from the resort and locally made snacks to try.  Most suites at the resort have a full-size sofa bed and cots can also be arranged.
