“I haven’t played at Cooly Rocks On for several years and I cannot wait,” said Vicky O’Keefe, fresh from performing on a cruise in the United States. “I’ve done many shows at the festival, over past years. Cooly Rocks has a fantastic vibe and everyone is there for a good time.
“This year’s show The Johnny O’Keefe Story is a tribute to my Dad. Performing his hits on stage, particularly the duet with him, will not only be emotional for me, but for my Dad’s many fans. I am so looking forward to presenting The Johnny O’Keefe Story in the marquee at this year’s Cooly Rocks On.”
Tickets for The Johnny O’Keefe Story are on sale now and are selling fast.
“Cooly Rocks On is set for one of its biggest festivals yet,” said Councillor Gail O’Neill. “The program is absolutely jam-packed, and it is wonderful to have Vicky O’Keefe returning with her not-to-be missed new show. There are so many free activities for the public, we expect a huge crowd to turn out for it.”
The festival offers a range of free live entertainment options from rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly and swing performances across a variety of outdoor stages and venues, along with a limited number of ticketed shows, including the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist (UETA) Contest.
Contestants from across Australia and New Zealand will compete in three rounds as part of the UETA Contest. Cooly Rocks On is one of only ten official Elvis Presley Enterprises Contests throughout the world, with an exceptionally high calibre of Elvis Tribute Artists competing in a bid to take out the highly acclaimed title. Supporting each Tribute Artist competing in the UETA Contest across the three days of competition, is the highly sought-after, world-renowned Tributes in Concert band.
