Leading travel management company BCD Travel, today announced the following leadership appointments, effective immediately.
• Samrat Roy, previously Vice President, Program Management – APAC, now steps into the role of Senior Vice President, Program Management – APAC. In his new role, Sam will continue driving global and multinational account/client management methodologies and support the commercial team with regional customer retention.
• Ben Wedlock, previously Vice President, Sales – APAC, now steps into the role of Senior Vice President, Global Sales – APAC. In his new position, Ben will continue to lead the team chargedwith articulating BCD’s unique value proposition in this highly complex region.

In his ten years with BCD, Samrat has risen through the PM ranks, starting first as a regional account manager before being named director in 2013 and vice president in 2017. During his tenure, Samrat has been integral to the evolution of BCD’s client retention and expansion strategy. “Our customers have always been at the center of our business, and in today’s rapidly evolving environment, the role we play in helping them simplify their travel and prioritizing their safety has never been more critical. I’m excited to continue working with our talented team to ensure we’re well positioned to support our customers as they resume their travel,” said Samrat.
As SVP of Global Sales – APAC, Ben leads the expansion of BCD’s client portfolio in Asia Pacific, while supporting customer bids globally. His deep understanding for Asia and its intricacies — coupled with his wealth of knowledge for travel management — will allow Ben to design innovative and customized solutions that deliver tangible value for global, regional and national clients, while addressing the different market nuances in Asia Pacific. “I am excited to continue to drive BCD’s client first ethos across Asia Pacific.
