“People are crossing their fingers in the hopes that the end of the pandemic is on the visible horizon. We surveyed the world’s most experienced travelers to find the top 50 travel songs that inspire adventure, encourage exploration, and connect us with loved ones,” said Bill McIntyre, communications director of Global Rescue.
Countries like New Zealand, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and others are opening their borders as severe COVID-19 illnesses and hospitalizations decline, vaccinations increase and testing is more convenient. The latest TSA data indicates traveler activity in and out of U.S. airports is steadily increasing, reaching between 75%-to-91% of pre-pandemic levels. “85% of travelers have already taken domestic trips and nearly half (49%) have traveled internationally,” according to a recent Global Rescue survey.
Nine out of ten travelers (93.42%) are less or much less concerned about travel since the pandemic started, reflecting a 72% improvement in individual concerns about travel compared to traveler attitudes at the beginning of 2021.
“As COVID-19 fears subside, people are significantly less concerned about travel. They are driving a significant rebound in travel activity and the Global Rescue Top 50 Travel Songs provides musical inspiration for trip-takers looking to celebrate travel, encourage adventure, stir exploration and motivate connection with loved ones,” said Dan Richards, CEO of Global Rescue.
