No one does romance quite like the French. Which might explain why Sofitel Adelaide, its French-inspired restaurant, Garçon Bleu, and lobby bar Déjà Vu will forgo just one day of love to extend the hotel’s luxurious Valentine’s Day offers for the entire month of February.
Love-struck Cocktails for lovers at Garçon Bleu and Déjà Vu Bar
Get swept up in the moment at with a choice of two cocktails, custom-made for romance.
The Lovers’ cocktail is available at Garçon Bleu’s bar and includes white rum, rosewater, pink gin, sugar syrup and spanked rosemary. Vigorously shaken (not stirred) over ice, it’s a vision in pink that will set hearts racing this February. Priced at $22.
Sofitel Adelaide’s lobby bar, Déjà Vu, has also created a Valentine’s themed Love-Struck Mimosa with fresh strawberries, strawberry gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, red vermouth, Cointreau and sparkling Rose. Priced from $18.
La Saint-Valentin menu at Garçon Bleu
Located on level nine of new Sofitel Adelaide with unbeatable skyline views, this French reimagined restaurant is led by a talented culinary team displaying their haute cuisine skills and a love for fresh local produce.
To celebrate the season of love and romance, Garçon Bleu will serve up a decadent three-course La Saint-Valentin menu designed by Chef de Cuisine, Gianni Delongu, for a Valentine’s experience to remember.
Priced from $150 per person, the La Saint-Valentin menu also includes a glass of Verve D’argent served on arrival.
For those guests who wish to pair wine with each course, a choice of French or local South Australian wines is on offer. The complete La Saint-Valentin meal and wine matching experience is priced from $270 per person.
For entrée, guests will enjoy a House Cured Salmon Fume` with avocado, kohlrabi and dill dressing, and can select either a French wine (Jean-Luc Mader Riesling from Alsace) or a local variety (Aphelion Chenin Blanc from SA) to accompany.
A choice of two decadent main dishes follows. Chateaubriand for two will impress, accompanied by a Chateau La Nerthe Cote du Rhone Rouge ‘Les Cassagnes’. For seafood devotees, Garçon Bleu’s Délicieux poached lobster tail and mussels with sea herb pistou and sauce is hard to look past, served with a choice of “Maison Patrick Piuze Chablis or Heggies Estate EV Chardonnay from South Australia*.
Dessert features an Ile Flottante served with Strawberries and Extragon (tarragon), complete with a tantalising surprise inside. This final course is served aside a Rockford White Frontignac from the Barossa Valley.
