Qatar Airways is making international travel even more accessible for Australian travellers looking to head abroad in 2021 with their annual Boxing Day sale, providing special fares to European cities including Dublin, Athens and Istanbul.

With over 55 European destinations to choose from, Australians now have even more options to explore, with fares starting from $1,369* return in Economy Class and $6,109* return in Business Class.

The fares are available from today until 28 December 2021 and select travel dates apply. Travellers can book on Qatar Airways’ website or at their preferred travel agent.

Qatar Airways’ Vice President of Sales for Southeast Asia, Southwest Pacific & Indian Subcontinent, Jared Lee said: “We’re thrilled to have rebuilt our network to over 140 destinations including Dublin, Athens and Istanbul. Not only do travellers have plenty of exciting destinations to choose from, they’ll also be flying with the world’s best airline with top-notch biosafety onboard when they fly with Qatar Airways. Whether you want to visit our most popular cities for Australians – London and Athens, go off the beaten path in places such as Warsaw, Budapest, Sarajevo, Skopje or Sofia, or enjoy European holiday hotspots of Mykonos, Santorini, Malaga or Barcelona. There really is something for everyone.”

The fares mark the end of another successful year for the airline in Australia. In 2021 Qatar Executive (QE) welcomed the arrival of the world’s first Gulfstream G700 jet aircraft to the State of Qatar, as part of a special demonstration by the manufacturer honouring QE as the launch customer.

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Airline’ by the 2021 World Airline Awards, managed by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It was also named Best Airline Rating, Airline COVID-19 Safety Rating, Best Airport Rating, and Airport COVID-19 Safety Rating in recognition of its COVID-19 safety and premium service quality. Qatar Airways is the only airline to have been awarded the coveted “Skytrax Airline of the Year” title, which is recognised as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry, six times.

Qatar Airways is also the first middle-eastern carrier to trial the IATA Travel Pass Digital Passport mobile app in March 2021, and organised the world’s first fully-vaccinated flight early April 2021 where the airline’s ground staff, operating crew and passengers were fully-vaccinated. These activities demonstrate Qatar Airways’ capability of implementing hygiene measures of the highest standards, as well as the very high percentage of fully-vaccinated Qatar Airways staff and crew to safeguard public health.

The national carrier of the State of Qatar continues to rebuild its network, which currently stands at over 140 destinations. With more frequencies being added to key hubs, Qatar Airways offers unrivalled connectivity to passengers, making it easy for them to change their travel dates or destination as required.
